HAAL is committed to protecting and preserving the environment by adopting sustainable practices.

The company has undertaken numerous measures in this regard. Its plant at Shendra, Aurangabad, uses propane, which is a cleaner fuel than conventional furnace oils, as feedstock, thus reducing NOx,SOx and CO emissions. It also uses propane as a fuel for homogenising instead of electricity, resulting in higher efficiencies and a smaller carbon footprint.

HAAL uses regenerative burners on its melting furnaces to conserve heat and by using the LARS system of metal purification, it has eliminated the need for a holding furnace.

The company has also minimised its energy consumption by using state-of-the-art variable frequency drive motors and processes.

These measures have enabled HAAL to reduce its energy consumption considerably.
